Our Projects: Real development at the service of learning
Every project you see here is not just a nice idea or a showcase demonstration.
They are real developments created internally by the academy team, with modular architecture, functional systems and professional approach.
In them we apply everything we teach from UI systems to gameplay, optimization and storytelling.
They are our way of validating that what we teach works, and at the same time, a bridge to take Unreal Engine beyond the classroom.
From professional scanning tools to narrative action video games, these projects are designed with a single goal in mind: to serve as a technical, educational and creative example for our students. .
Ling
An educational project using Unreal Engine to teach Spanish using gamification, speech detection, and modular logic. Expanding with new interactive modules.
See ProjectVRscan 3D
3D scanner simulator for Unreal Engine 5. Designed for technical training, LiDAR visualization, and modular development with multi-threaded logic.
See ProjectTimeline
Third-person narrative game with linear progression. This is a long-term academy project that will apply all the mechanics taught in the various training modules.

At PlatanoGames we teach with what we develop.
Every project you see is born from real frameworks and systems that we teach step by step in our courses.
Training with us is not just about learning how to use Unreal Engine:
it's about building something that can go into production.

FAQ - Projects
Here is everything you need to know before subscribing or purchasing any product in our academy.
PlatanoGames' in-house projects, developed by Platano Studioare much more than practices or single demos.
They are real casesfunctional and professional we use as backbone of our courses.
Each system, mechanics or module we teach is validated within an active project.
Some projects are intended as final products (such as VRScan 3D), while others, such as TimeLineserve as a permanent case study, constantly evolving. We publish playable versions or technical demos when they provide educational value or are relevant to the community.
All the projects in this section are developed internally by Platano Studiothe professional production area of the PlatanoGames Academy.
Platano Studio is a vertical unit within the academy, oriented to the actual development of video games, simulators and interactive tools with Unreal Engine. Its mission is twofold:
Create real products that may be published, licensed or used in educational, technical or commercial contexts.
Serve as a learning base for the academy's courses, offering real examples of architecture, design and professional logic.
Every line of code, every system and every visual layer you see has been designed with best practices, modularity and scalability. Everything we teach in our courses, we apply here.
For the time being, no.
All projects are under internal development to ensure technical consistency, clear direction and didactic focus.
In the future, we plan to launch open versions with limited license for advanced internships or collaboration with outstanding students.
Many of the systems that are part of the projects will be available as downloadable resources in the courses or as frameworks in the academy store. You will also have access to specific versions if you are a subscriber.
A course teaches you a technique, a tool or a system.
A project shows you how we apply it in a real professional context.
Both are part of the same educational approach: applied theory with real purpose.
Many of the systems developed in-house will eventually become available as:
Exclusive downloadable content within the courses
Ready-to-use frameworks in the academy store
Practical examples in lessons with direct access to code and modular logic
Subscribed students will have priority access to these resources.
It is the professional development division within PlatanoGames.
It functions as an internal study, but with a clear educational purpose:
test, validate and demonstrate in real projects everything we teach in the academy.
